LEATHER VEG DYEING
The main ingredient in the vegetable leather tanning process is time. It takes about 40 days to transform raw hides into unique, durable, and versatile vegetable-tanned leather. It’s a natural and environmentally friendly process that combines fashion with tradition and past with the future, which is very important to the leather tanneries.
The beauty of vegetable-tanned leather is that it doesn’t loose its versatility and luster with age. Once dyed, one piece of vegetable-tanned leather never looks exactly the same as another.

ULTRA SUEDE
Rest assure at the fact that less energy and fewer CO2 emissions went into the making the Simon+Krull line.
This fabric, which was later trademarked as Ultrasuede®, combines the rich aesthetics of a suede surface with benefits no animal product could ever offer. Ultrasuede® is soft, supple and sensuous to the touch. Yet it's also resistant to stains and discoloration.
Our Ultrasuede® manufacturing facility is ISO 9001-certified for quality and ISO 14001-certified for safety and environmental protection.
The manufacturing process is based on new and innovative recycling technology, using postindustrial polyester scraps, which cuts both energy consumption and CO2 emissions by an average of 80% over the creation of virgin polyesters.
FISH LEATHER
Fish leather is an eco-friendly alternative to the typical exotic leathers such as crocodile and snake that threaten endangered species. Our fish skins that would otherwise have been discarded as by-products from the food industry are recycled and used to create our signature S+K pieces.
DUST BAGS
Eco friendly custom 100% organic cotton dust bags.
LEATHER CARE
For routine maintenance occasionally wipe with a clean damp cloth. Clean spills with an absorbent cloth and distilled water. Do not use detergents, saddle soap, cleaning agents, solvents, oil, or ammonia. For tough stains, use a commercial leather care product suitable for the stain type. Try a small area out of sight first to minimize possible damage to the water based finish.
